What you do on the mat – and how you walk out.

Many kinds of yoga, one studio. Don't pick by the name, pick by how you want to feel afterwards. In your trial class you try one of them – and we help you choose.

Yin Yoga

Come down when the day was too full.

You lie on bolster and block, stay a few minutes in each pose and let go – the body grows heavy, the breath longer. Afterwards you feel as if you'd slept for three hours.

For everyone – especially if you think you're not flexible.

Hatha Yoga

Upright, clear, at home in your body.

One pose after the other, held long enough to really feel it – with precise guidance and no rush. You walk out taller than you came in, and your mind is quiet.

The best first class. Advanced students find deep backbends here.

Vinyasa Yoga

Warm, awake and pleasantly tired.

Breath and movement become one sequence that you know better and better over the hour – until you no longer have to think about what comes next. Afterwards: strength in your arms, calm in your head, and a craving for tea.

Every level. You set the pace, we show you variations.

Never done yoga before?

You don't need any skills, you don't need to be flexible and you don't need to bring anything. The studio is small, nobody is watching, we show you every pose. After one class you'll know why people do this every week.

Been practising for a while?

Then you'll get what big studios often lack: precise adjustments, deeper variations – and in Young Ryu a teacher with an RYT-500 certificate and five years of teaching.

After yoga the room stays open: conversation circles over tea for the mind, chess for the evening – both free, in the same small studio in Leipzig-Gohlis.

The people behind the studio

Lisa Krause, yoga teacher at Studio Sonnenaufgang

Lisa Krause

Yoga teacher · 200h Vinyasa & Hatha

I'm Lisa, and movement has been a fixed part of my life for as long as I can remember. Sadly, the focus on performance in classic sports often pushes both physical and emotional well-being into the background.

When I experienced this myself, I discovered yoga. The daily practice has had such a positive influence on my life that I wanted to pass this passion on. So in August 2025 I completed a 200-hour training as a Vinyasa and Hatha yoga teacher, and since then I've been teaching mostly powerful yoga flows. As a contrast, my training also taught me to appreciate Yin yoga, in which I'm currently doing further training. I look forward to seeing you on the mat. Namaste!

Andrea Neufeldt

Yoga teacher · 200h Hatha (BDY)

I'm Andrea, and I came to yoga many years ago – out of a wish to do something for my physical health. Very soon I felt that yoga is good not only for the body, but also for mind and soul.

Because I wanted to accompany other people on this path too, I completed a 200-hour Hatha yoga teacher training (BDY) and have been teaching yoga since mid-2025. As a music therapist and Biodanza teacher I've been working with groups for over 20 years – responding to each person with empathy matters to me. You're invited to arrive at your own pace: mindful asanas combined with the breath help you arrive at your own centre.
